Samira Farmer

Vice President / Business Manager, DC / Mid-Atlantic Regional Advisory 

Samira Farmer joined the Washington, D.C. office of Doyle in 2005 as the Business Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region and has helped spearhead regional growth through her role in business development and strategic partnerships. Samira is committed to building long-term client relationships throughout the Mid-Atlantic, and regularly assists clients with access to the New York market through auction and private sale opportunities.

Samira has over twenty years of experience in the auction, appraisal, and antiques industry. She began her career in Miami as the Department Manager, Decorative Arts & Silver for Sloan’s Auction Co., and from there relocated to Los Angeles to work as Content Coordinator for a well-established antique gallery on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. She also worked as an assistant for a Beverly Hills appraisal firm, aiding in the research for several of Los Angeles’ top art and modern design collections.

Samira received her M.A. from Parson’s School of Design in the History of Decorative Arts with a focus in 20th Century Furniture and Industrial Design. She has completed courses in Museum & Appraisal Studies through George Washington University and has continued her education in Decorative Arts through Hillwood Museum. A native Washingtonian, Samira is active in her community and supports local museums and arts organizations and is a member of the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council (Membership Committee), ArtTable Programming Committee, and ICAA.
