Yes:

  • If you are in NY, MD, CA.
  • If you are not a dealer and live in any other state but are picking up the items yourself. New York sales tax is 8.875%. Maryland sales tax is 6%.

No:

  • If you are in any other state and shipping your purchases using an ICC shipper.
  • If you are a dealer, have registered to bid under your business name, and have filled out an ST-120 form
    • A copy needs to be on file at your Hayloft location
  • 28% buyer's premium and sales tax if paying with a credit card.

  • 25% buyer's premium if paying with cash or check.

  • For our New York location, we are happy to recommend shippers and movers (Please note, Hayloft is not responsible for items once they leave with a shipper. Hayloft does not pack items, please let your shipper know to BRING THEIR OWN PACKING MATERIALS.). Clients can also coordinate pick-ups at our warehouse by calling 929-303-3266.
  • For our D.C. METRO location, we can ship USPS, FedEx, or UPS (billed separately for shipping and handling), or our clients can pick up property by appointment. Please call 301-348-5282 for more information.
  • Hayloft is not currently taking property in on consignment. We may be interested in purchasing your items though. Please email info@hayloftauctions.com with pictures and descriptions of your items.
  • The auction ends in a "soft close"--that means for every new bid, the lot will stay "live" another 3 minutes to allow competing bidders to bid, so there's no mad dash of mouse-clicking at the end of the sale! The lot closes when there is no more active bidding. Be sure to keep your eye on the countdown on each lot!
  • Items can generally be picked up from 8:30am to 4:30pm the week following the sale in the Bronx. Please watch our announcement bar for Holiday hours.
  • We require 24 hours' notice in advance of pick up. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PACKING MATERIALS.
  • After 14 business days from the auction date, we will begin charging storage fees of $5 per lot per day.
  • We make selling easy for you. We purchase outright! The easiest way is to send us photos of ALL the objects that you would like to sell, even a room shot; Please send photos to either:

  • We do not offer in-house packing or shipping option. Please bring your own packing materials. However, we have several options for you if shipping is your preference. Click here for more info
