SPECIALIST
Jenny Pitman joined Doyle in 2020 in Business Development, after an extensive auction career spanning 25 years. Toronto-born Ms. Pitman began her auction career at Sotheby’s Toronto before she joined Christie’s New York as a Silver Specialist. She served as Vice President and later Head of Sale at Christie’s, and her tenure with the international auction house spanned 17 years. In 2016, She turned her focus to fostering client relationships in Westchester County, NY and Connecticut as a specialist for Rago Auctions. She has also been a columnist, including authoring the monthly “What’s Collectible” column for Westchester’s WAG Magazine.
Ms. Pitman received her B.A. from McGill University in Montreal and her M.A. at the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts in New York. At the BGC, she was honored with the Clive Wainwright Award for outstanding thesis. In 2017, she obtained her Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America.
As an auction veteran widely respected in the field for her expertise and extensive connections, Ms. Pitman is a trusted guide for clients wishing to sell single pieces, collections, or estates. Today, she works extensively with appraisers, financial advisors, attorneys and executors, organizers and senior move managers. She is an active member of estate planning, jewelry and decorative arts associations
