SPECIALIST
Ann Lange is the Executive Director of the Jewelry Department at Doyle and a Senior Vice President in the firm. She and her team organize approximately 27 jewelry auctions throughout the year, more than double the number of jewelry sales Doyle has held in the past. She is responsible for appraising a wide range of jewelry from 19th century through contemporary pieces, in addition to diamonds and colored stones. She also evaluates jewelry for formal estate appraisals.
Over the years, Ann has organized numerous landmark auctions of prominent jewelry collections. These include The Estate of Aileen Mehle (society columnist Suzy), The Collection of Rosalind P. Walter (the inspiration for Rosie the Riveter), The Estate of Barbara Wainscott, The Alice Appleton Hay Collection, The Estate of Consuelo Vanderbilt Earl, The Noel & Harriet Levine Collection, The Ellin and Irving Berlin Sapphire, The Estate of Sydney Roberts Shuman, and the record-setting natural pearls from the Collection of Empress Eugenie of France.
Prior to joining Doyle in 2004, Ann was Vice President and Director of the Arcade Fine Jewelry Division at Sotheby's for fifteen years.
Ann received a Bachelor of Arts in French from Boston University. After working in her family's jewelry business, she earned a Graduate Gemological Certificate at the Gemological Institute of America.
